Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities reflect a rare combination of sophisticated appreciation of the arts and the refreshing charm and warmth of our people. As a unique industrial, cultural and acodemic center, Pittsburgh has been heavily influenced by the traditions and customs, of its many ethnic backgrounds.
Through them, the fine art of culinary expression has taken shape in the impressive array of foods featured by the area's eating establishments and prepared in the homes of Pittsburgh residents.
All proceeds from cookbook sales are donated to children's programs and services in western Pennsylvania by the Child Health Association of Sewickley, publishers of Three Rivers Cookbooks.
